Achievements

Ansel wrote the commentaries for Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Luke, 2 Peter, and Revelation. 

Located in Yonkers, New York, and established in 2001, the St. Augustine Foundation is a charitable organization whose mission is promoting the teaching of the Catholic Church. Its website helps to educate the faithful on Natural Family Planning (NFP), human sexuality, the virtue of chastity, marriage, conjugal love, and responsible parenthood. 

LIM alumnus Jim Prator has been working as a full-time hospice chaplain for the past 20+ years.  Early on, he worked as an engineer in both the oil and space industries. In the late 1970s, while running his retail nursery business in Picayune, Mississippi, Jim pursued a Master's degree at Loyola through LIM.  He wanted to help close the gap in the typical Catholic parishioner’s understanding of the Old and New Testaments, and he completed the MRE in 1979.

As Social Services Director, Kristen will provide and direct counseling and social services to the residents of St. Margaret's at Mercy, assisting residents and their families in adjusting from a home or hospital setting to St. Margaret's. Kristen's degree in Pastoral Studies has certainly prepared her to carry out St.

Amy is currently an 8th grade math teacher, supporting her school's mission "to ensure each student succeeds in life " Clearly this honor recognizes her as one of the "creative facilitators" that Carver Middle School encourages its teachers to be. Through her professional excellence, she encourages students to advance at their own pace, becoming global learners in a caring and supportive community. 

LIM Professor Dr. Daniella Zsupan-Jerome writes, "From June 21-24, Santa Clara University hosted the third meeting of TheoCom, a global gathering of theologians and practitioners discussing theology and digital culture.  This annual event is created by the Pontifical Council for Social Communications in partnership with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, and is sponsored by Our Sunday Visitor.   It is a blessing to have had the opportunity to present papers here for the past three years.

 Bishop Joseph Kopacz has appointed Sheila Przesmicki Lay Ecclesial Minister of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and Student Center, Booneville, as well as its mission, St. Mary, Iuka, effective April 1st. Sheila is a graduate student of LIMEX and will receive a Master degree in Pastoral Studies, with an emphasis in Small Christian Community Formation, in August, 2014.

The conference is funded by Our Sunday Visitor Institute and sponsored by the Pontifical Council for Social Communication, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Communication Office, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, and Santa Clara University.  Theologians attending the conference will explore the theme of Community, Presence, and Authority in a Digital World.

This workshop will gather junior faculty for a week in two successive summers and a weekend winter retreat in a warm location. 

With a focus on Twitter and Pope Francis's Twitter feed (@Pontifex), the article considers the possibilities for creating community through electronic media and examines the challenges of such an open digital forum in a Christian context. Read it»
