Programs of Study

Success By Degrees

You’re aware of the benefits of an undergraduate degree – that’s why you’re here. You can advance your career, make more money, or know the personal reward of completing your education.

Now it’s time to choose your degree. Our adult, part-time program currently offers undergraduate degrees in the following areas of study:

  • Criminal Justice
Examine the components of the criminal justice system; think critically about crime and correction; analyze the prevailing ideologies of our institution – and challenge them. This program provides you with an understanding of the system as a whole – law enforcement, the courts, corrections, and the criminal justice sector.

  • Interdisciplinary Studies
A flexible part-time degree program that allows busy adults to design a course of study that matches their unique personal and professional goals.

  • Nursing
With a robust education grounded in Jesuit values from Loyola, you can enhance your practice as an RN with a degree that demonstrates your knowledge and ability to provide exceptional patient care.

Just looking for a way to supplement your current skillset or looking for a certification to set you apart? We offer the following non-credit certificate programs:

  • Forensic Science Investigation
Our Certificate in Forensic Science Investigation can prepare you for an exciting lifetime of saying, "yes, like CSI" when people ask what you do. You'll train in the forensic methods starting with the basics of collecting and analyzing evidence and moving all the way through advanced crime scene reconstruction techniques like bloodstain pattern analysis and event sequencing. Our students leave us certified to work in crime labs - and to catch bad guys. Call (504) 865-3530 to learn more about our Certificate in Forensic Science Investigation.

  • Translation & Interpreting
Our Translation and Interpreting (TRIN) program adds a skill to your repertoire that’s uniquely in-demand in our area. In addition to your certification as a TRIN specialist, you’ll receive training in translation and interpreting in healthcare settings, legal settings, or both. Our students primarily work to increase access to healthcare and legal services, performing interpretation for underprivileged citizens at local health clinics and hospitals or in cases of asylum and undocumented minors.
