  2. A statement of your educational objectives and reasons for wishing to attend Loyola (150-word minimum) that should be uploaded with your completed online application.

  3. Official transcripts from every college or university you have attended, even if you did not receive credit. If you have not completed at least 12 hours of college credit or more, we will also need your official high school or GED transcripts. If you are not yet 22 years of age and have not completed 12 hours of college credit from an accredited institution, official ACT or SAT scores are required.

All official transcripts from ALL previous colleges and/or universities as well as official test scores, if required, must be mailed to:

Regular admission cannot be guaranteed without the above.

NOTE: All college, high school and GED transcripts must be received in the original sealed, unopened envelope from the institution where that course work was completed for the transcript to be considered official.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Merit based scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants every fall and spring. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and have at least a 3.0 Loyola cumulative GPA to qualify. For more information about these scholarships click here or call the office at (504) 865-3530.

Financial aid is available to all eligible persons. Students who think they may be eligible must fill out the Financial Aid Form. Monthly tuition payment plans are also available. For further information call the Financial Aid Office at (504) 865-3231.

Transfer Credits

Transfer credits are individually evaluated to permit maximum transfer of university credits where compatible with Loyola requirements. At least 25 percent of the semester credit hours required for the degree must be earned through instruction offered by Loyola.

Loyola accepts up to 64 credit hours from regionally accredited two-year institutions, and Loyola has articulation agreements with some two-year institutions. To have your transfer credits evaluated in a pre-admission meeting, please contact our office at (504) 865-3530 to schedule an appointment.

Advising

Each degree-seeking student is assigned an academic advisor who will assist the student in educational planning. Students are encouraged to meet with their advisors regularly during each term. If you are unsure who your advisor is, check your LORA account or contact our office at (504) 865-3530.

Summer Session

Most adult students attend classes during the summer to stay on track and expedite graduation. Adult, part-time students pay their regular fall and spring tuition rate even in the summer. Check out the this summer's session dates and course schedule here. Contact our office with any questions or if you need more information at (504) 865-3530 or summer@loyno.edu

Leave Of Absence

Students who find it necessary to “stop out” during the course of their studies must submit a Leave of Absence Form to the Office of Student Records. The leave is good for one year and will facilitate reentry. Previously enrolled students returning from an official leave of absence are subject to the policies of the official university bulletin under which they were last enrolled. If you are returning from a leave of absence, please contact our office at (504) 865-3530 or evening@loyno.edu
