Programs of Study Overview

Loyola University New Orleans offers a CACREP-accredited program that qualifies students to be Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) in the state of Louisiana. Loyola's Center of Play Therapy Education and Research is also housed in the department of counseling. It meets all educational requirements for Registered Play Therapist certification (RPT).

Class sizes are limited to allow students a focused learning experience and quality instruction.

Get Your Master’s Degree in Counseling

Designed for students wanting to become Clinical Mental Health or Marriage, Couple, and Family Counselors and work in mental health agencies, schools, universities, hospitals, governmental or military agencies, or private practice settings. Students must complete 60 credit hours to earn their master's degree in Clinical Mental Health or Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling.
