Loyola Counseling Faculty to Present at ACES National Conference

The Counseling Department faculty will be traveling to Philadelphia this fall to participate at the national conference of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES). All five full-time faculty members have been accepted to present at the conference. Their presentations are listed below:

  • "Expanding the Classroom Beyond Rationalist Pedagogies." - Dr. John Dewell and Kevin Foose
  • "Preparing for Internship: Creating Realistic Site Experiences Using Trained Actors as Clients" - Dr. Chirstine Ebrahim
  • "Gatekeeping in Counselor Education: Cultural Considerations, Supervision, Ethics, and... Getting Sued (YIKES!)" - Dr. Leanne Steen, Dr. Thomas Foster, and current student Laura Pignato
  • "Ethics and Multiple Relationships: Recognizing and Addressing the Multiple Relationships Between Doctoral Students and Faculty." - Dr. Christine Ebrahim
