Michael J. McElwee has served in parish ministry as Deacon and Director of Ministries and Adult Education at Ascension Church in Melbourne, FL. for the last 23 years. In over 40 years of full-time ecclesial ministry, Michael has also served in parish and diocesan religious education, youth ministry, and retreat ministry in Delaware, Virginia, and Maryland. He has been a Loyola liaison and facilitator and has developed catechist certification and lay ministry formation programs. He studied at Temple University and Catholic University and received his M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from St. Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore, MD.  He is now enjoying life as a retired grandfather of four.
