Antiqua Smart DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PHNA-BC, a full-time assistant professor in the School of Nursing, was recently selected as a member of the inaugural National Organization of Nurse Practitioners Faculties (NONPF) Telehealth Committee. The NONPF Telehealth Committee provides national recommendations on telehealth education for nurse practitioner faculty members and nurse practitioner students.

Alumna Jennifer Rogers is involved in two ministries in her parish: Food for Seniors and Welcome Home, a jail/prison and re-entry ministry. Both grew out of a data-gathering and testing process that Jennifer led. “It has been wonderful to see the response by our parish-community once these ministries hit the ground running!” she says.
Carol Lenox, MPS, is inspired by spirituality's connectedness to nature. Her article "The Exterior Silence of the Forest--Merton's Guidance for Environmentalists" draws together her work as an environmental researcher in North Carolina with her interestest in Creation theology. About this article, published in the Spring 2021 issue of The Merton Seasonal: A Quarterly Review, she says, "The path that led to this definitely has much of its origin in my studies at Loyola. Student leaders from Chi Sigma Iota, counseling honors society, continue to promote service, advocacy, and community during COVID through their organization of a socially distanced day of service, virtual participation in the NAMI Walk and fundraiser, and a peer mentorship program for counseling graduate students.
Dr. Christine Ebrahim presented on the ACA Code of Ethics at the annual conference of the Louisiana Counseling Association and presented four continuing education events in the Greater New Orleans Area on applied counseling ethics and working with clients in crisis.
