Amanda Livermore, MPS, has recently been selected as the Feasibility Study Director of a Cristo Rey High School proposed for the Orlando area. Of this new venture, Amanda has said, "My LIMEX education will serve me well as I continue to build the Kingdom of God in central Florida. The Cristo Rey model will serve our community well, and I am excited to see how the Lord works through it all."
In the spring of 2022, Loyola alumnus Ansel Augustine (BA, MPS) has seen the fruits of his many labors recognized by others. These labors include serving as the Director of the Offic of Black Catholic Ministres for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, participating in the work of the Knights of Columbus and Knights of Peter Claver, teaching at Loyola and Xavier Universities in New Orleans, and engaging in youth and young adult ministry. Ansel channels his experiences into creative projects as well.
Loyola University New Orleans is pleased to announce the award in April 2022 of a $1.5 million-dollar grant to support the development of a new project, “F.I.E.L.D.: Faithful Innovation through Encountering, Listening, and Discerning: Practicing Synodality in Ministry with Young Adults.” LIM faculty member Tracey Lamont (pictured center) is the project director, who will develop LIM to become an innovation hub that educates and supports parish ministry teams to create innovative ministries with young adults and become more synodal, co-responsible communities of faith.
In March 2022, Global Sisters Report published alumna Jean Martinez's article "At a Nursing Home, I Find Hopeful Ministry in a Time of Change." In it, she shares her emotional and spiritual journey ushered in by the Covid-19 epidemic as she adapted her ministry of pastoral care to the residents at the Chateau de Notre Dame, a nursing home and apartments in the New Orleans area. Since January 2022, Louise Locke, MPS, has been serving in Bolivia as a Maryknoll Lay Missioner. She completed her training and in a Sending Ceremony in Dec. 2021 was sent into mission. Louise most recently worked as a pastoral associate for a parish serving a large retirement community and faced a tough discernment related to her call to be a lay missionary. In the end, she said, “I very much feel that God is inviting me into this experience.
LIM alumnus Mr. Grant Tregre, MPS, reflects on his experience of being a Black Catholic man and on the implications of that experience for social justice ministry in the Archdiocese of New Orleans' video series Sankofa Sages: Stories of the Black Catholic Experience, created for Black History Month 2022. Alumna Skya Abbate has committed herself to lifelong learning and achivement. In May 2020, she earned a Doctorate Degree in Bioethics from Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics & Healthcare Leadership at Loyola University Chicago. She has also recently published articles in diverse journals.

On January 14, 2022, Professor Tracey Lamont delivered the inagural presentation in Cabrini University's spring 2022 lecture series, Shoulder to Shoulder. Her presentation, titled "Mission Integration in a Pluralistic World," was half-day workshop for faculty and staff. Its focus was on how the faculty and staff can celebrate and integrate Catholic identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the university’s activities.
