When on At Home with Jim & Joy, Allison will discuss Catholic sexual morality, how the sexual revolution has affected US society, especially young people, and the St. Augustine Foundation's web resource on Catholic sexuality. After its initial broadcast, the program will re-air the following Saturday morning at 10:30 am.
On February 2016, Kristen Centanni and Maddie Schultz presented at the Louisiana Play Therapy Conference in New Orleans, LA. They presented on "Military Families and Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT): Adaptive Models for use during Deployment and Reintegration."
On February 2016, Renee Floer presented at the Louisiana Play Therapy Conference in New Orleans, LA. She presented on "Adapting Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) Model to treat Children of Alcoholics and Addicts."
Dr. Thomas Foster and Dr. LeAnne Steen's manuscript, Examining how the Adlerian Life Tasks Predict Anxiety in First-Year Counseling Students, has been accepted for publication by the Journal of Individual Psychology. Congratulations to Dr. LeAnne Steen on being selected to present at the annual Louisiana Association for Play Therapy conference 2015. Her presentation will be on Play Therapy & Consultation: An Eco-Systemic Perspective.
Counseling Department faculty Dr. Thomas Foster was recently awarded an internal grant from Loyola to assist with his student-faculty research. Dr. Foster is currenlty researching wellness and psychosocial stages of development in college students. Graduate students Lynsey Hinnenkamp, Laura Pignato and alumna Ariann Evans are also involved in the project and hope to publish their findings in the near future.
